Last month, David Darsey attended the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice reception at 10 Downing Street. This special event was to promote and present plans for a brand new state-of-the-art hospice, to be located in a beautiful nature reserve in Barnet.
“Building The Ark”, the campaign driving this development forward, aims to provide the necessary facilities to children suffering life-threatening and life-limiting conditions with the care, support and expert help they and their families need. This worthwhile charity is vital for the brave families caring for sick children, as one of the major issues for them is the overwhelming number of hospitals, assessment centres and special needs support centres they need to attend. The new hospice will become a hub for these families, enabling them to access the information and services they need in a far more stream-lined manner.
Erith are proud to be supporting this great cause and to have been invited to the reception with the inspirational families and children.
David Darsey commented: “It was a privilege to join Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice representatives and the incredible families at Downing Street. There really is nothing harder than having a child with a life-threatening condition, and the families here today are true inspirations.”
