Erith Haulage successfully retains FORS Silver accreditation

We are delighted to announce the successful retention of our Silver accreditation under the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) for a fifth consecutive year. Retaining Silver demonstrates our policy of continuous improvement and confirms the ongoing achievement of exemplary levels of best practice within the haulage industry.

The FORS Standard integrates with our existing robust ISO BSI 39001:2012 Road Traffic Safety Management systems which has strengthened the improvement of existing policies and procedures, improving the use of technology, and developing our workforce to the highest competency levels.

There has been an increased and significant investment in Safe Urban Driving, Driver NVQ’s, E-Learning and Practitioner Workshops which has directly impacted on our external key performance indicators and demonstrates our target of continuous professional development in all areas of the business.

To demonstrate our commitment to this continuous improvement, we have recently added eleven new vehicles fitted with the latest Euro 6 standard engines to the HGV vehicle fleet, allowing us to further improve our operational efficiency and assist in the reduction of airborne emissions.

Steve Martin, Managing Director, commented: “We are proud of our commitment to Road Traffic Safety and the retention of our accreditations demonstrates our dedication to achieve better than best practice within the industry.”
