Erith were extremely proud to have been the Main Event Sponsor for the FA Women’s National League Trophy back in August.
The event, held annually, selects a different Charity to support each year, with all proceeds from this year’s event going to The Grenfell Foundation and The Harrow Club. Both of these well-deserving organisations have provided invaluable, ongoing support to the victims of the Grenfell Fire disaster.
The match itself, hosted at Borehamwood FC’s Meadow Park Ground, saw a team of Ex-England All Stars face off against a WNL select XI, which represented all tiers of Women’s National League Football.
The #WNL4GRENFELL Select XI were triumphant, emerging as 2-1 winners in an exciting, good-spirited game of football. The event was a true celebration of the Women’s game and an excellent fundraising event for the Grenfell Foundation and the Harrow Club.
The day was a huge success, raising over £7,500 for the 2 selected charities.
Karen Falconer, Development Officer for the FA Women’s National League, contacted Erith to express her sincere thanks, saying “May I just take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to Erith for their generous and kind support for the event.”
