Last night saw Erith emerge triumphant at the 10th annual World Demolition Awards. Organised by D&Ri and hosted for the first time in Dublin, Ireland, the evening showcased the outstanding demolition work undertaken in the past 12 months from around the globe. Nearly 400 industry representatives were in attendance, with over 50 contractors vying for 14 award categories.
Erith are immensely proud to announce we won the following awards:
- Safety and Training – A repeat success from last years’ ceremony, based on our outstanding safety record and extensive in-house training facilities.
- Urban Demolition, US$10 Million or Over – For the demolition and façade retention at 33 Grosvenor Place.
- Civils Demolition – Highly Commended for the demolition and 5-storey basement construction at Stanhope Gate.
These award victories wrap up what has been an extremely positive year for Erith. The staff from all of our divisions have consistently demonstrated their outstanding capabilities to successfully deliver a wide range of projects in a manner which exceeds best practice. Their efforts have been recognised by the steady flow of awards we have received this year. With several major projects already secured for the next 18 months, we are looking towards the future with great optimism and stability.
Erith’s Managing Director, David Darsey, was in attendance at the World Demolition Awards and had this to say: “This is a fantastic event every single year. It offers a great opportunity to network with the leaders of this industry and appreciate the effort and work companies are putting in all across the world. I am extremely proud and pleased that Erith received these prestigious awards. I would like to express my thanks to all our staff who made this year as successful as it was for the company.”
