The judges commented “This project demonstrated an excellent consideration towards its environmental impact. The site team ensured the latest technological processes were in place, including real time dust, noise, lead and atmosphere monitoring via the use of a specialised monitor cabin.  Targets were also set to evaluate a CO2 offset policy using tree planting.” 

The Most Considerate Site awards are an exceptional achievement, recognising sites that have made the greatest contribution towards raising standards in construction. Based upon site monitoring, projects are scored on five areas: Caring about Appearance, Respecting the Community, Protecting the Environment, Securing Everyone’s Safety and Valuing the Workforce.

The Luton site scored exceptionally well in all areas, acknowledging the proactive approach to community engagement with a visit from the local fire brigade to conduct specialist training for unusual structures, local food bank donations, college careers advice and regular liaison with the community on project progress.
