Since March 2021, we have carried out several large-scale asbestos removal projects on behalf of the aerospace division of Rolls-Royce.

Providing asbestos removal, earthworks and excavation across three sites, these projects have involved the use of bespoke and innovative methodologies as well as out-of-hours working.

Technical challenge
A dedicated delivery team was tasked with undertaking client specific health and safety inductions before any works began.

In addition, we carried out thorough onboarding assessments and facilities management (FM) inductions to make sure exemplary levels of workmanship and health and safety were adhered to and worked alongside the client’s appointed asbestos consultant, Mitie, throughout.

Works included asbestos removal, earthworks and excavation.
As a result of our continued outstanding performance, we recently secured another major project to commence in late 2021.
Dream Fix

Dream Fix is a non-licensed abatement project involving the removal of 100m3 of contaminated land via a watch and brief. Our asbestos and earthworks teams worked collaboratively to complete the works. Challenges included inclement weather conditions and working around live services. This was mitigated by the use of cat scanning and digging by hand.

EOS Building

Works within the EOS building included the notifiable removal of 70 tonnes of asbestos-contaminated land under controlled conditions.

Moor Lane Offices

Works at the Moor Lane offices involved a multi-phased programme of asbestos removal and strip out, ahead of a full refurbishment. This included the removal of thermal residues under fully controlled conditions.
