Erith’s commercial fleet goes green
Published by Erith on 7 February 2022

We have recently taken delivery of six new VN5 range extended electric vehicles as part of a significant investment in to our sustainable commercial fleet.

Demonstrating our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our activities, the innovative vehicles offer zero-emission capability and are designed, engineered and built at LEVC’s state of the art factory in Coventry. Based on the same technology as the LEVC TX electric taxi, the vehicles have an EV range of 60 miles with a total flexible range of over 300 miles and can be recharged in as little as 30 minutes. The vans produce 36.6 tonnes less carbon dioxide emissions than the diesel equivalent over 5 years.

Head of Procurement, Lee Perks commented, Being committed to the reduction of carbon across our business, we are proud to be making positive steps to drive down emissions within our vehicle fleet through the introduction of ultra-low and zero emissions vehicles. Our LEVC VN5 vans are a great addition to the mid-size van sector of our fleet and make a significant contribution towards our environmental and sustainability goals.”
